C3EU has succeeded in creating a close-knit network of scholars who have initiated new networks in collaboration with each other. They created five new multinational interdisciplinary Centres of Research Excellence:
1. COST Action EU Foreign Policy Facing New Realities: Perceptions, Contestation, Communication and Relations (ENTER): led by Prof Michele Knodt (TU Darmstadt, Germany) and Dr Patrick Müller (University of Vienna, Austria) joint by C3EU partners: Prof Natalia Chaban and Martin Holland (UC, NZ), Prof Stephan Keukeleire KU Leuven, Belgium) and Prof Sharon Pardo (BGU, Israel) among other partners.
2. Jean Monnet Project Youth Opinion and Opportunities for EU Public Diplomacy: Youth Narratives and Perceptions of the EU and EU-Ukraine Relations in Ukraine and the three Baltic States (E-YOUTH) (2018-2020): led by Prof Natalia Chaban (UC, NZ), in collaboration with Prof Sarunas Liekis (Lithuania) Prof Ben O’Loughlin (Royal Holloway, University of London UK) and Prof Alisterm Miskimmon (Queen’s Mary, Belfast, UK) among other partners. C3EU early-career researchers are also involved: Iana Sabatovych, Viktor Velivchenko, Pauline Heinrichs
3. Pilot project supported by UC, NZ Contested narratives of climate change: Algorithmic flows and human interactions on YouTube: led by Prof Natalia Chaban (UC, NZ), in collaboration with Prof Ben O’Loughlin (Royal Holloway, University of London UK) and Prof Alisterm Miskimmon (Queen’s Mary, Belfast, UK) among other partners. C3EU early-career researchers are also involved: Iana Sabatovych, Viktor Velivchenko, Anastasiya Pshenychnykh, Pauline Heinrichs
4. JM Network “cReative Economy And Culture inTernatIonal link” (Reactik): led by Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel in collaboration with C3EU partners Prof Sharon Pardo (BGU, Israel) and Prof Natalia Chaban (UC, NZ) among other partners
5. Jean Monnet Chair EU Foreign Policy from the ‘Outside In’ Perspective: EU external reception, perceptions and communication (RCx-EU) )2018-2021: led by Prof Natalia Chaban (UC, NZ). The Chair features EU-NZ Expert Group which involves Prof Michele Knodt (TU Darmstadt, Germany), Prof Sharon Pardo (BGU, Israel) as well as new partners who were external collaborators of C3EU – Prof Ole Elgström (U of Lund, Sweden) and Prof Helene Sjursen (Arena, U of Oslo, Norway) among other partners.
