Prof. Olesia Otradnova

Professor Olesia Otradnova is a Deputy Dean of the Faculty of law at Taras Shevchenko national University of Kyiv. She also a professor at Civil law department. The field of her interest is a Tort law, Contract law and Human Rights. Prof. Otradnova is an author of more than 100 publications in the field, including the monograph “Mechanism of Civil regulation of Torts”. The main idea she promotes is a use of Private law mechanisms for Human rights protection. Olesia Otradnova is a member of the Research and Consulting Council of the Supreme Court (in Ukraine).

 

Assoc. Prof Ivan Romashchenko

Dr Ivan Romashchenko is Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2003 he graduated from the Kyiv specialized school No. 82. The same year he entered Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Faculty of Law, where in 2007 he obtained Bachelor’s degree (cum laude) and in 2009 – Master’s degree (cum laude). In 2009 he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Civil Law in the same university. In 2011 the World Wide Studies grant from the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation allowed Ivan to enrol and pursue the Advanced LLM programme in European and International Business Law at Leiden University. In 2012 he completed his LLM and returned to work as an Assistant Professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He started PhD research at Leiden University in 2014 as an external PhD candidate. Within the described project he was a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in 2016 (July and August; the Institute’s scholarship) and 2017 (August; the DAAD scholarship). During 2017-2018 he was a Local legal education policy expert for the Independent, External, On-Site Assessment of Legal Education Quality at the National University “Odesa Law Academy” and the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, implemented by the USAID New Justice Program. In 2018 he was promoted to the Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Ivan’s research interests include corporate law, in particular related party transactions and corporate groups, contract law, private international law and cultural rights. In 2016 he published a monograph on change and termination of civil legal relationships in Ukrainian law.

Dr. Roman Sabodash

Dr. Roman Sabodash is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and an attorney-at-law. He has been Associate Professor of Civil Law and Company Law since 2013 (TSNU of Kyiv). From 2008 to 2013 he was an Assistant Professor at the TSNU of Kyiv. Dr. Sabodash taught Civil Law, Company Law (course creator and lecturer) and Practice of the European Court of Human Rights (course creator and lecturer)). Assoc. Prof. Sabodash is a member of several research groups on the reform of private law.  His current scientific interest is focused on Practice of the European Court of Human Rights as a source of private law.
