Organisers: Prof Natalia Chaban (E-YOUTH PI) in collaboration with Prof Ben O’Loughlin (Royal Holloway, UK), Dr Pauline Heinrichs (Royal Holloway, UK) and Prof Alister Miskimmon (Queen Mary University, Belfast, UK).

E-YOUTH has teamed up with new partners – scholars from France, Canada, the UK and Ukraine gathering 15 scholars to present their papers. This international symposium attracted collaboration beyond the E-YOUTH team and involved participants from around the world who developed cases with a focus on youth in Ukraine and the Baltic States in the concepts of mutual perceptions and perceptions and narratives of Europe and the EU. Run from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, this two-day virtual symposium paved the way to the Special Issue with peer reviewed Demokratizatsiya: The Journal of PostSoviet Democratization published in 2021. The Symposium and following it Special Issue involved leading experts and early-career scholars in intergenerational multidisciplinary dialogue.
